Amazing piece of Folk Art Americana worthy of being displayed in a museum! The origin of the embroidery was a pattern from Richardson´s Silk Company and the pattern no. was #685. The pattern was embroidered in 1925 by Genevieve Young Roseberry who was born on April 25th,1893 in Kansas. She kindly left her signature and the date on a card in the corner of her artwork. The gorgeous embroidery is in such great condition - with no visible fading or snags - it is unbelievable! The patriotic image is bright and stunning. I can imagine Genevieve´s family admired her work for many years. The visible area on the panel itself is taped to a piece of cardboard and measures 20 high x 16 wide. There are 2 discoloration rectangles that show the place it was framed in 1925 and later. in the 1960s.Thanks for visiting~u
