Carpe Diem, a project by Maurizio Altieri, responsible for the revival of the povera look in contemporary fashion. The dissolution of the Carpe Diem team in the mid 00s spawned a number of artisanal labels including Maurizio Amedei´s M.A+, Luca Laurini´s Label Under Construction, Marvie Lab, and Lumen et Umbra among others.

Up for sale is a grail and an exceedingly difficult to find piece: a rare size 4 (48-50), jet black, mid-weight linen lab coat--arguably one of the most sought Carpe Diem pieces.

Measurements as follow (cms/in):shoulders from seam to seam on the front 44 / 17.5´´chest from armpit to armpit 56 / 22´´length from bottom of collar to hem 103 / 40.5´´sleeves from shoulder to sleeve hem 62 / 24.5´´

Raw hems, unlined sleeves, partially lined body in cotton, one internal pocket, two external patch pockets, belted back. Deep, rich, vibrant, jet black color. This is it, fellas.

Bought used, but worn sparingly. No defects, holes, stains, tears, odors. All original buttons. I´m 5´9 / 174 cms. and weight 163 lbs. / 73 kg. Properly layered, I´ve worn it in temperatures as low as -5 C / 23 F and as high as 23 C / 73 F if worn on its own with a simple t-shirt underneath. Very easy to wear piece, soft linen, nice drape, comfortable fit. The level of formality is quite ambiguous. The patch pockets, raw finish, and the belt bring it down a notch (avoiding the "Matrix" look), while the minimalist design, the collar, and the flattering cut still manage to elevate it. Definitely versatile.
